New Youtube CEO believes NFTs and metaverse can help content creators

Last week, the 16th, Youtube announced its new CEO. This is Neal Mohan, an Indian-American who was essential to the creation of Youtube Music and Shorts. The new head of the second most accessed website in the world has an optimistic opinion regarding web3 for content creators, and promelook closely at NFTs and the metaverse.

Mohan believes web3 presents solutions and new opportunities for creators to provide deeper connections with their fan base, as well as generate a greater revenue stream.  

The new CEO ready that new tools such as the use of NFTs can help creators develop their businesses, but points out that all of this must be done safely. Regarding the metaverse, Mohan plans to focus first on games to make them more interactive and faithful to real life:

“It's still in its early days...but we'll work to bring more interactions to games and make them feel more alive,” he says.
