A Apple will deliver some of its upcoming features artificial intelligence (AI) this year through data centers powered by its own internal chips, reported Bloomberg News on Thursday (9), as the manufacturer of the iPhone seeks to integrate generative AI into its products.

The company is placing its chips in cloud computing servers capable of processing advanced AI tasks that will reach the company's devices. Apple, the report said, citing people familiar with the matter.
The chips are similar to those that power Apple's Mac computers. Apple, the report said, adding that simpler AI-related tasks will be processed on the device.
The plan to use its own chips and cloud processing for AI tasks was conceived about three years ago, but the Apple accelerated the schedule after the launch of ChatGPT da OpenAI, which kicked off an AI craze, according to the report.
Earlier this week, the Apple announced its next generation chipset, the M4, which will power the new iPad Pro models and support some AI capabilities.
