Epic Games launches Verse, a programming language focused on the metaverse

Diving deep into the metaverse, Epic Games, controller of one of the most successful embryonic projects in the future of virtual reality, Fortnite, this week presented a new programming language called Verse. Epic, in addition to controlling the popular battle royale game, also owns the Unreal Engine, a developer of 3D projects.

With a decentralized proposal, as proposed by web3, Verse language will also be developed openly. The gaming companypromeyour to establish descriptions and technical specifications of the available tools. Unrestricted to the public, the open source language will be made available to programmers, artists and designers. 

To give you an idea, the development of Verse could help with a greater global understanding of what the metaverse is, as more people will be able to have access to the platform's production. Soon, more people will get their hands dirty. 

Verse's front line worked on Microsoft for more than 20 years

One of the developers of the Verse language presented his project at an event. Simon Peyton Jones, who is on the front lines of the language, previously worked at Microsoft for more than 20 years, and is now venturing into popularizing the metaverse.
