The academy is launched to raise manpower for the metaverse

According to Boakye, there is a heated demand in the business world for the development of professionals linked to the metaverse. As it is Meta's main focus for the coming years, training professionals and engaging people with the same objective could be the way to convey confidence about this new moment in the internet that the technology giant is dazzling with.

“If adoption of the metaverse grew in a similar way to the use of mobile technology, after 10 years it would contribute $360 billion, or 6,2%, to GDP in the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey,” says the executive.

The entities involved in the training expect at least 30% of women among the participants. Regarding the requirements to participate in the journey, the academy is open to everyone, regardless of education. The 'Metaverse Academy' will be based in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
