According to the registration application, the French brand wants to launch non-fungible tokens for digital works, videos, audio and text related to beauty and skincare. Another curious detail about YSL's interest in the metaverse is the fact that the brand wants to launch beauty and hair products for the metaverse. Anyone who loves makeup, for example, could buy a product for their avatar.
In addition to these unusual initiatives for our time, the French brand also plans to open virtual stores with cosmetics, perfumearia and other beauty products.
It is worth noting that Yves Saint Laurent is part of the luxury fashion conglomerate Kering, which also manages Gucci. Gucci, unlike YSL, has been exploring web3 for a while now.
