GDP grew 2,9% in 2022

Brazil's GDP (Gross Domestic Product) closed 2022 with growth of 2,9%, totaling R$9,9 trillion, reported this Thursday (02) the IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics). Performance, however, was less efficient than in the previous year, when the Brazilian economy grew 5%. This represents a slowdown. (Uol)

Violence rate against women rises in 2022

“Visible and Invisible” research released this Thursday (02) by the Brazilian Public Security Forum and Datafolha pointed out that the year 2022 was difficult for women in Brazil, as indicators of violence against women rose. About 18,6 million of women reported being victims of aggression or violence. This is the highest percentage in the historical series. (g1)
