Marte Um, produced by Gabriel Martins, tells the story of “the Martins”, a black family from Minas Gerais that overcomes the adversities of life. One of them is living as a middle class in a country that just elected an extreme right-wing president.

The film hit national screens on August 25, but premiered in January at the Sundance independent film festival.

In addition to being director, Gabriel Martins also serves as the film's screenwriter.
