President Jair Bolsonaro, at the end of his term, declared this Thursday (29) three days of official mourning in Brazil for the death of Pelé, the King of football, at the age of 82.
“Official mourning is declared throughout the country, for a period of three days, counting from the date of publication of this Decree, as a sign of regret for the death of Edson Arantes do Nascimento, Pelé, former football player”, says the decision, signed by Bolsonaro and published in the Official Gazette of the Union.
Bolsonaro lamented this Thursday the death of Pelé, who “turned football into art and joy”, in a message shared on Twitter.
