A collection of computers from Apple, which shows the evolution of one of the most influential companies in the world over almost 50 years, will be auctioned on March 30, in California.
The auction is an opportunity for admirers of the Steve Jobs (and wealthy) who will be able to acquire the artifacts that made the brand a universal symbol.
O “Hanspeter Luzi Vintage Apple Archive” contains more than 500 computers and devices from Apple gathered over decades by a Swiss professor and businessman.
“Every product we have has truly shaped the zeitgeist and led to a cultural shift in the way we work, learn, operate and communicate, and even how we spend our free time”, said Erik Rosenblum of Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills.
“We are at an interesting time (…) now, where we are moving from everyday home use of a computer Apple to a historical artifact”, he added.

The collection includes a Apple II Plus, device produced between 1979 and 1982, similar to a typewriter with a screen on top, disc input and a joystick connector.
Another product that stands out is the 1984 Macintosh, the distant ancestor of flat-screen monitors with the company logo. Apple, now seen in many corporate offices.
“All these pieces are our grandparents’ iPhones, iPads e iMacs (…) It’s great to see the evolution,” said Rosenblum.
The auction takes place in a context of great interest in antique items from Apple. Last weekend, an American who had a iPhone 2007, still in the box in which it was purchased, he sold the device for more than US$63 (around R$325) to a collector.
