A double from Colombian Luis Díaz and goals from Harvey Elliott, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Fabio Carvalho and an own goal from Chris Mepham gave the Reds their first Premier League win of the season. The score equals the record set by Manchester United against Ipswich in 1995, which had also been achieved in 2019 by Leicester against Southampton.
