Last Friday (9) the largest Ferris wheel in Latin America was inaugurated, which is 91 meters high and was installed in Parque Cândido Portinari, West Zone of the city of São Paulo. O Curto tells you how to get there and how much it costs to see what’s new in the capital of São Paulo!
Ah, in Brazil there are more giant Ferris wheels, see? This was the fourth built; the others are in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), in Balneário Camboriú (SC) and in Foz do Iguaçu (PR).
The 91-meter attraction is called Roda Rico São Paulo, it weighs a thousand tons and occupies 3% of the park's total area – it doesn't seem like it, but it's a lot.
The attraction is located at Avenida Queiroz Filho, 1.365, next to Parque Villa-Lobos. To arrive by public transport, just get off at Villa-Lobos station, on the Esmeralda train line-9 (CPTM).
Roda Rico São Paulo operates from Tuesday to Sunday, from 9am to 20pm, with one ride per hour. The last lap is at 19pm. The complete tour lasts 30 minutes. The wheel supports 336 people at a time.
R$25 to R$79 for an individual ticket and R$300 to R$420 for a complete cabin, which includes drinks. Tickets can be purchased at Sympla.
From the cabins, it is possible to have a 360º view of São Paulo, including Pico do Jaraguá, the capital's buildings and even Osasco. The cabins have air conditioning, monitoring cameras, Wi-Fi, are pet-friendly and each has a maximum capacity for 8 people. You can enjoy it in comfort!
