This weekend, in the United States (USA), Super Mario Bros. totaled 137 million. Outside the USA, the animation grossed 173 million.
In 2019, Frozen 2 made 385 million. Mario's film surpassed Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and became the biggest opening of 2023. The Marvel film made 225 million.
Super Mario Bros.. premiered on April 7th in the USA and April 28th in Japan. In Brazil, the release was on April 6th, 2023.
