Real Madrid and Brazilian national team player Vinícius Júnior was the victim of racist comments from the president of the Spanish Association of Businessmen and Players. When participating in the program “El Chiringuito” on Spanish television Mega, Pedro Bravo, told Vinicius to stop “doing nonsense”. Furthermore, the businessman said that the player should go to the “Brazilian sambadrome” if he wanted to “dance”.

“You have to respect your rival. If you want to dance, go to the sambadrome in Brazil. What you have to do here is respect your fellow professionals and stop fooling around”, said the businessman.

After the racist speech, Bravo took to social media and apologized. “I want to clarify that the expression 'doing stupid things' that I misused when describing Vinicius' dance when celebrating goals was metaphorical ('doing stupid things'). As my intention was not to offend anyone, I sincerely apologize. I’m so sorry!” he wrote.
