"I am gay"

FIFA's director of press relations, Bryan Swanson, ended today's speech (19) by the entity's president, Gianni Infantino, declaring himself gay to say that the entity where he works is inclusive and cares about people of all sexual orientations. He was sitting next to Infantino and asked for the floor to speak about the topic spontaneously at the event attended by around 400 journalists in Doha, Qatar.

“I’m sitting here as a gay man. Just because Infantino isn't gay doesn't mean he doesn't care about it. He calls,” he said. The statement came shortly after Infantino gave an almost hour-long speech in which he defended Qatar from criticism over working and living conditions in the World Cup country. (UOL)
