Lula is elected president of Brazil

From the start of vote counting, at 17:05 pm, it was possible to confirm the experts' assessment: the 2022 election was proving to be one of the most fierce in the country's history.

On one side, there was a Bolsonaro proposal focused on customs, weapons, agricultural production to the detriment of the environment, in addition to an anti-democratic speech against institutions such as the Federal Supreme Court and the Superior Electoral Court. On the other, agendas for the protection of minorities, combating deforestation and fires, resumption of social programs, job creation with an increase in the minimum wage and respect for Democracy.

It was a second round marked by tensions, full of anti-democratic attacks from Bolsonarism in an attempt to postpone the elections or harm the electoral process with weak complaints: fewer insertions of the PL on the radio, a fired TSE employee creating doubts about the system, Roberto Jefferson attacking the TSE, Federal Highway Police with operations in the Northeast.
