The publisher Sony, which handles the productions of Canadian singer Nelly Furtado, requested the copyright of the Brazilian hit 'Lovezinho', which uses, without credit, the melody of the chorus of her song 'Say it right', along with arrochadeira (a mixture from Bahia of the arrocha with the swingueira).
The track was released in July 2022 by Brazilian singer Treyce, but the copyright claim of Nelly Furtado arrived to WK, main composer of the Brazilian version, right after carnival.
The song gained success thanks to a video by dancer and influencer Xurrasco on TikTok.

No 'G1 listened' podcast, WK stated that he is open to giving a part of the composition to the authors of 'Say it right'.
In addition to Nelly Furtado, production also belongs to North American producers Timbaland and Danja. A Sony publisher said that the request for an agreement came from the artist herself.
The Brazilian composer considers that a fair percentage for composers would be 20% of the authorship, but negotiations are still being carried out between publishers.
Last Tuesday (28/02), Nelly Furtado reproduced the choreography for 'Lovezinho' on her TikTok account. The video is a duet of the post made by influencer Vanessa Lopes together with dancer Xurrasco.
