Born in the city of São Paulo, Venosa is considered one of the greatest sculptors in Brazil, with a career spanning almost 40 years. The artist's characteristic was to create pieces using wood, fabric, fiberglass and other materials.

Venosa, one of the main names of the so-called Generation 80, was already quite weakened when he was honored a year ago by the Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC) of the University of São Paulo with the installation of his sculpture in the ground floor space of the museum's Clareira project in Ibirapuera.
