Not this time...yet! SpaceX has postponed the first test flight of Starship, the most powerful rocket in history. The flight would take place this Monday (17).
Takeoff was suspended minutes before the scheduled time, due to a pressurization problem in the propulsion stage, according to information from the SpaceX.
The founder of SpaceX, Elon Musk, said a pressure valve appeared to be frozen, resulting in the postponement of the launch scheduled for 13:20 pm GMT (10:20 am Brasília time) at Starbase, the company's spaceport in Boca Chica, Texas.
“We anticipate a minimum of 48 hours before we can attempt this test flight again,” highlighted a SpaceX employee in a live video broadcast by the company.
In any case, there were already dates for the next tests scheduled during the week, something that Musk considered.
On Sunday, during an event on Twitter's Spaces, Musk warned that the test “is a very risky flight. It is the first launch of a very complex and giant rocket.”
