Former president Lula congratulated Brazilian doctors this Tuesday (18) and gave a “rt” to a message from his vice-presidential candidate, Geraldo Alckmin.

Meeting with Communicators

In a meeting with influencers, content producers and opinion makers, the PT member sought to align his allies with electoral strategy in this pre-second round of elections. One of the main themes mentioned in Lula's network was combating the spread of fake news against the PT campaign. (UOL)

Counterattack

“Bolsonaro lies.” Lula continued with this tone by directly accusing his opponent. From the covid vaccination to the closing of churches, the PT member countered false information on the network. According to him, the current president makes “lying his form of politics”. This Tuesday, Lula tweeted: “We are facing an abnormal citizen.” He said he had seen a video in which Bolsonaro argues that “it is necessary to lie to win the elections”. In the evening, Lula repeated the statement during the chat with Igor Coelho on the Flow podcast.

Taking aim at the PT governments, Bolsonaro published a new cut from the presidential debate broadcast last Sunday (16). In the recording section, the candidate leavesaria the “truth” about what he calls the “biggest corruption scheme in history”, involving Petrobrás, is explained.

The state-owned company, which is the largest in Latin America, frequently appears as a central theme in disinformation campaigns, especially during election periods. With this in mind, the Petroleum Social Observatory created a new information checking tool called Fact or Fake at Petrobrás.

Furthermore, this Tuesday, the president who is seeking re-election shared images of the campaign event held this Tuesday in São Gonçalo, in Rio de Janeiro.

Bolsonaro also announced police action that seized 341 kg of cocaine. “The seized drugs were sent to the Judiciary Police for incineration, saving lives and families,” he said.
