Deforestation alerts in the Amazon break record in February, reveals Inpe

February is not over yet and deforestation alerts in the Legal Amazon have already reached a record for the month. The data, released by the Space Research Institute (Inpe), shows that 209 km² were deforested by February 17th - the highest mark for the month in the entire historical series, which began in 2015. The data was released this Friday (24). 🌳
