Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) announced last Thursday (13) the use of Microsoft of virtual and augmented reality to optimize your industrial process. Porsche is using mixed reality technology to enhance technical training and expertise and create an immersive and interactive environment in the service area.

German car maker Porsche is taking advantage of apps' metaversonic capabilities Microsoft HoloLens 2 and Dynamics 365 Mixed Reality to transform the way your dealer partners maintain their customers' cars. With the help of the Guias app, technicians can access a 3D hologram of the car and participate in remote training, saving time and money.

Additionally, Dynamics 365 guides from Microsoft now feature new 3D annotation capabilities, allowing users to annotate objects within arm's reach, thus creating an integration of physical and virtual content. These three-dimensional representations are applied anywhere. This way, professionals can count on the flexibility to work on complex activities from anywhere.

According to Renita Whitfield, virtualization program manager at Porsche Cars North America, when the project pilotwas completed, the company opted for Microsoft HoloLens 2 as your preferred headset choice.

She stated that the team defended it as the new standard for the company because of some features such as: comfort, ease of use and functionality, and identified a high possibility of return on investment.
