Lacoste's trademark registration applications were made on the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and were revealed by licensed trademark attorney for the metaverse, Michael Kondoudis this February 22nd.

Lacoste wants to sell virtual clothes and shoes

According to information from the specialized lawyer, trademark registrations cover NFTs, cryptographic transaction software, virtual clothing, footwear, glasses, virtual product stores, advertising, sports equipment and the provision of virtual real estate.

It is worth remembering that several famous brands on the world market have already done the same as Lacoste. Yves Saint Laurent, Hermes, Tag Heuer, Rolex, Mercedes-Benz and many others have already requested patent registration to explore web3 and the metaverse. In 2022 alone, there were 5.850 records linked to the metaverse.
