Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta Platforms Inc., announced the creation of a new product advisory board. The group, called Meta Advisory Group, will meet periodically with the management team of the Meta to provide guidance on the company's progress in artificial intelligence (AI) and technology.

The board is made up of four renowned technology executives:
- Patrick Collison: CEO and co-founder of Stripe Inc.
- Nat Friedman: former CEO of GitHub
- Tobi Lütke: CEO of Shopify Inc.
- Charlie Songhurst: investor and former executive of Microsoft Corp.
It is worth noting that the initial composition of the council is made up exclusively of white men. Meta has not yet commented on plans to diversify the group in the future.
The creation of the council signals the growing importance that Meta places on AI. The team of experts will help direct the development of innovative, ethically responsible products that benefit users.
