O President Jair Bolsonaro opened yesterday (22) the series of interviews carried out by Jornal Nacional with the presidential candidates for the elections taking place in October. In the conversation, which lasted 40 minutes, Bolsonaro presented at least 13 false or misleading information.

1. Does the government have corruption scandals? ❌
- The statement is not true because, at the Ministry of Education, a series of accusations against former minister Milton Ribeiro led to his departure. Ribeiro would also be involved in a alleged parallel bribery scheme paid by mayors to pastors. Former Environment Minister Ricardo Salles was also the target of an investigation into the illegal sale of wood. (Estadão)

2. Bolsonaro created PIX? ❌
- PIX was launched in November 2020, during the Bolsonaro administration, but its creation began much earlier. - In May 2021, the then Health Minister, Marcelo Queiroga, admitted that he inflated the announcement of 560 million vaccines purchased by the ministry , revealing that only half – around 280 million – of the package had been purchased.
