Bolsonaro's schedule shows 5h30 of official commitments since defeat to Lula

Nine days after his defeat in the second round to Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) has since had five and a half hours of official commitments noted in his diary. Counting only the working days that elapsed after the October 30 election, the average was one hour and six minutes of work per day.

According to the list of commitments released by the Presidency of the Republic, Bolsonaro received the Minister of Economy, Paulo Guedes, on the morning of the 31st. The meeting lasted 30 minutes and was the only official appointment that Monday.

November 1st, the day before the All Souls' Day holiday, was the busiest in Bolsonaro's recent calendar: the president opened the day by receiving Wagner Rosário, minister of the Comptroller General of the Union, for half an hour. Afterwards, in a meeting that lasted another 30 minutes, he met with the ministers of Defense, Paulo Sérgio Nogueira de Oliveira, of Justice and Public Security, Anderson Torres, and with the Attorney General of the Union, Bruno Bianco Leal.

In the afternoon, he met with unspecified state ministers for another two and a half hours. It was after this agenda that Bolsonaro made his first statement after the defeat, in the lobby of the Palácio da Alvorada. The speech lasted two minutes and was followed by the announcement by the Minister of the Civil House, Ciro Nogueira, that the government transition would begin in the next few days. Afterwards, the president went to the Federal Supreme Court (STF) building to meet with ministers of the Court.

Bolsonaro's next official appointment announced by the Presidency of the Republic was on the 3rd, when he received Célio Faria Júnior, head of the Presidency's Government Secretariat for half an hour. On Friday (4), and during the weekend, Bolsonaro had no official agenda. Finally, on Monday (7), he spent an hour with Renato de Lima França, deputy head of Legal Affairs at the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic.

In addition to these official commitments recorded in the Presidency's agenda,, on Thursday (3), Bolsonaro went to Palácio do Planalto and greeted vice-president-elect Geraldo Alckmin, who had gone there to participate in a meeting with Ciro Nogueira about the government transition process.

On Sunday (6), Bolsonaro received a visit from the Chief Minister of the Institutional Security Office (GSI), Augusto Heleno, at the Palácio da Alvorada. The meeting is not on the official agenda of the Presidency.

On social media, the president's only publication after his defeat to Lula was made on November 2, when he released a 2 minute and 41 second video, in which he asked his supporters to clear the highways. He did not do his traditional “live” on Thursday.
