São Paulo celebrates its 469 years this Wednesday (25). 🎉 The holiday changes the operation of several public services in the capital of São Paulo and some services in the rest of the State may have changed opening hours. See what will be closed and the capital's cultural program to celebrate the date! 🎊

Bus Routes

The Metro operates with a reduced fleet between 4:40 am and midnight on most lines. Metro lines 4-Yellow and 5-Lilac, operated by ViaQuatro and ViaMobilidade, respectively, will serve passengers with a fleet similar to that of a Saturday.

Regarding metropolitan trains, the lines operated by CPTM and ViaMobilidade (8-Diamante and 9-Esmeralda) will serve passengers at intervals similar to those on Saturday, with demand monitoring to offer more trips if necessary.

All intercity lines managed by EMTU Those traveling to the capital will operate on a Saturday timetable.

The lines destined for São Paulo that do not operate on Saturdays will operate according to the weekday timetable.

Health

State hospitals maintain normal operations to provide urgent care and emergencies, both in emergency rooms and in hospitalization sectors and surgical centers. Specialties (AMEs) do not work.

The donation stations at Pró-Sangue Clínicas, Osasco, Barueri and Stella Maris will be open from 8am to 16pm. However, the capital's units, Dante Pazzanese and Mandaqui, will be closed, as will the specialty units.

The 12 Poupatempo units in the capital of São Paulo will be closed and will reopen normally on Thursday (26), with in-person service provided by appointment. In other units of the State, Greater São Paulo, interior and coast, operations will be normal.

  • Museu da Casa Brasileira – Showcase Remnants of the Atlantic Forest

The exhibition “Rremnants of the Atlantic Forest & MCB Collection” makes us reflect on the transformation of the Brazilian forest, from the exuberance of large trees to the disappearance of species. In addition to the activity “Beach house”, open to all audiences, its mission is to take the beach to the Museum’s garden, inviting the public to build this beach together, creating elements of this scenery and families will be able to feel the sand on their feet.

  •  Museum of Indigenous Cultures – Mundurukando: Mundurukando in the City of São Paulo with storytelling with Daniel Munduruku, music and body painting with the MCI Masters of Indigenous Knowledge, and Xingu games, in addition to a conversation circle, based on the book “Crônicas de São Paulo” . Participation in the activity will be free.

  • Immigration Museum – Visit to spaces linked to the history of immigration and Beyond the 11 o’clock train: O público conhecerá lugares de memória relacionados aos processos migratórios de diferentes décadas e a herança cultural e patrimonial deixada por esses movimentos. A imigração italiana, libanesa, espanhola e boliviana serão destaques. O passeio partirá da antiga Hospedaria de Imigrantes do Brás, onde acontecerá uma breve visita temática, dedicada a comentar sobre a ocupação migrante atual nos bairros do Brás e da Mooca. O percurso total terá cerca de 25km e será percorrido por uma van disponibilizada pelo Museu. O valor para participar da programação, incluindo o transporte e almoço, será disponibilizado em breve, juntamente com as orientações de inscrição, no site do Museu.
