Attack by Bolsonarists in Brasília becomes highlighted in the international media

Last night (12), a group of Bolsonarists attempted to invade the Federal Police headquarters in Brasília, in addition to burning cars and buses across the federal capital. The acts of vandalism began after the arrest of an indigenous leader who supports President Jair Bolsonaro (PL). Media outlets around the world highlighted the acts of Bolsonarists that have been taking place since the defeat of the current president at the polls.

The Guardian classified the acts of vandalism as “January 6th style”, because of the Invasion of the United States Capitol in 2021, when pro-Trump supporters invaded the US Congress.

The Huff Post published a report about the acts and also refreshed readers' memories about the Bolsonarists denying the defeat of the polls and gathering in front of the military barracks.

The Reuters news agency also highlighted the matter. A Bolsonarista commented on the publication and said that the vandals were “infiltrated leftists”.
