Biden announces he will run for re-election in 2024

The President of the United States, Joe Biden, announced this Tuesday (25) that he will be a candidate for re-election in 2024 and begins, at the record age of 80, a new campaign for the White House to "finish the job".

“Each generation has a moment in which they had to defend democracy. Defend your fundamental freedoms. I believe this is our moment. This is why I am running for re-election as President of the United States. Join us. Let’s get the job done,” Biden wrote in a Twitter message accompanied by a video.

After the announcement, the Republican Party stated that Biden is “disconnected” from reality.

“Biden is so out of touch with reality that he thinks he deserves four more years in power when all he is doing is creating one crisis after another,” said party leader Ronna McDaniel.

Biden made the announcement exactly four years after entering the campaign that resulted in his victory against the Republican Donald Trump, which he could face again at the polls in 2024.
