Burt Bacharach, composer and musician, dies at age 94

American composer and musician Burt Bacharach has died at the age of 94. The news was given by his agent, Tina Brausam, this Thursday (9). 

The composer's publicist, Tina Brausam, said that Bacharach, who worked with stars like Dionne Warwick and wrote hits like “Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head", “Walk on By” and "Do You Know the Way to San Jose”, died of natural causes.

The musician won three statuettes at the Oscar: Best Original Score and Music, in 1982 (“Arthur, the Seductive Millionaire”); and Soundtrack in 1970 (“Butch Cassidy”). In the film's soundtrack starring Paul Newman, the biggest highlight was “Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head”, sung by BJ Thomas.

No Grammy, Bacharach It had a total of 21 nominations and six awards. The most recent gramophones were the Pop Instrumental Album, in 2006; and a special career award in 2008.
