Same-sex marriage is protected by law in the USA

The President of the United States, Joe Biden, signed this Tuesday (13) a law that protects same-sex marriage across the country. The signing took place in an event at the White House in front of thousands of guests, and was celebrated on social media.

By promulgating the text that protects same-sex marriage, the US president guarantees rights to the LGBTQIA+ community, so threatened by religious fanaticism and growing right-wing extremism in the USA.

During the signing of the law, Biden stated that “the United States takes a vital step towards equality, freedom and justice, not just for some, but for all”.
