CCXP is back and awaits 300 people at SP Expo

After two in-person editions canceled due to the covid-19 pandemic, Brazil's biggest geek and pop culture event is back. Yay! Comic Con Experience 22 (CCXP 22) started today at São Paulo Expo, in Água Funda, in São Paulo. By Sunday, CCXP should receive 300 thousand people.

Those who go to the event will be able to find several stars from the big screen (from streaming too, huh?), spoilers and news about films, games, comics, podcasts and everything from the geek and pop universe, as the public will pass by several exclusive and themed stands from brands and products.

CCXP will have 260 panels, with 220 hours of content, hundreds of brands and 70 exhibitors. 

Yesterday, guests were able to participate in “Spoiler Night” and check out the event facilities before anyone else. Too much, right?

Schedule for the 1st day of CCXP

In the event's main space, the Thunder by Cinemark Club Stage, a tribute to 12 years of City of God and director Fernando Meirelles, who will receive the honoree of the year award. Andrea Barata Ribeiro, Daniel Rezende, César Charlone, Braulio Mantovani, Alexandre Rodrigues and Seu Jorge will also be present.

At 14:30 pm, on the same stage, there will be Jim Starlin, creator of the Marvel space universe. Thanos' creator will talk about his long and successful career, and also about his “spoiled son”, the great villain of the MCU. Then, at 15:30 pm, it's time for Alexander Ludwig, from the series Vikings e Heels, who comes to Brazil for the first time.

Later, at 16:30 pm, the first major studio panel begins: Disney arrives at CCXP, warming up its engines to celebrate 100 years. The panel will be divided into four moments:

  • Animation Elements, from Pixar;
  • Lucasfilm news about the universe Star Wars e Indiana Jones;
  • The sequence of Avatar;
  • Marvel Studios (should present news about the new Ant Man).

Guests include Kevin Feige, Peyton Reed, Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Jonathan Majors, Jon Landau, Zoë Saldaña, Denise Ream, Jon Favreau (remotely), Dave Filoni (remotely).

The section dedicated to photos and autographs of artists will feature Alexander Ludwig, star of the series Vikings, Edgar Vivar, who played Mr. Barriga in the series Chaves, John Rhys Davies, known for playing Gimli, in the trilogy Lord of the Rings, in addition to Tenoch Huerta, who gave life to Namor, in the most recent Marvel release, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Meetings take place at 12:20 pm (Alexander Ludwig) and 13 pm (all others).

On the Ultra Stage, there will be space for the announcement of new Conrad stories for 2023, in addition to news from Crunchyroll, the streaming platform for anime.
