China is the only power in the world that has severe confinement and quarantines to contain the coronavirus.

Localized confinement and mandatory PCR testing were decreed every 48 or 72 hours. This policy is not expected to be relaxed before the 20th Congress of the Communist Party of China, which is expected to take place within the next three months. At the event, President Xi Jinping is expected to win confirmation for a third term as party general secretary. Health policy in the country has a political nature and any opposition to anti-covid measures can be considered a questionsupport of the communist regime.
