It was an almost perfect game for the 'Citizens', who took advantage of an inspired afternoon from Foden (three goals) and Kevin De Bruyne (two assists), but mainly Haaland's eye for goal, directly involved in five of the team's six goals, with a hat-trick and two assists.

Before the break, City were already up 4-0, with two goals from Foden (in the eighth and 44th minutes) and two from Haaland (in the 34th and 37th).
Brazilian Antony scored for United in the 11th minute, but Haaland and Foden increased the Citizens' advantage even further.
In the final minutes, Frenchman Anthony Martial found the net twice more for the 'Red Devils', making the defeat a little more honorable.

Haaland, the Premier League's top scorer, has already scored 14 goals in eight games this season. At 22 years old, the Norwegian has shown that he is not just a 'killer' in the area and seems to have integrated himself perfectly into the collective plan, as coach Josep Guardiola wants. Proof of this are the two assists for Foden.
“It’s not bad at all. We scored six goals. It's incredible, winning at home by scoring six goals is something precious”, celebrated the Norwegian striker after his first Manchester derby.
“We always want to go up and attack. That’s what I like about this team,” he added.
