With pneumonia, Lula postpones trip to China

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva had "mild pneumonia" this Friday (24) and had to postpone his state visit to China by one day. According to the press office of the Presidency of the Republic, the president underwent tests at the Sírio Libanês hospital on Thursday night (23). All meetings on the official presidential agenda for today have been cancelled.

The 77-year-old president was scheduled to depart for Beijing on Saturday, on a visit focused on intensifying dialogues with his main trading partner and presenting to the Chinese head of state, Xi Jinping, the proposal to promote a negotiated peace between Russia and Ukraine.
