Keeping an eye on the networks: presidential candidates talk about hunger, fuel and harassment

In the countdown to this year's elections, the Curto News will monitor the social networks of the main pre-candidates for the Presidency of the Republic for the next few months, to keep you informed in a different way about the issues that guide the electoral agendas.

Squid (PT)

This Tuesday (5), of the six posts published on Twitter, the PT member dedicated three to talking about the possibility of Brazil overcoming hunger and unemployment. “We won this battle, and we will win again”, he comments.

The post with the most engagement among the former president's followers was made in the morning. The tweet has more than 25 thousand likes and 4 thousand comments. Lula took advantage of the time to mention milk, which currently costs up to R$10 per liter. The product increased by 28,5%, according to the IPCA-15 index, which measures inflation until June 15th.

“We had ended hunger, we no longer saw children begging for alms,” he says.

Jair Bolsonaro (PL)

Railway works in the Northeast were the focus of three of Bolsonaro's five Twitter posts today. He highlights that, in addition to infrastructure and development for the environment, more than a thousand jobs were created in the region due to the construction of sections of the West East Integration Railway.

Without writing any text or detailing information, Bolsonaro just shared a video, without audio, from a restaurant's internal security camera.

The footage records an attack on an employee of the establishment. The act of violence is interrupted by another woman who points a gun at the attacker. The theme of the publication, which had almost 50 thousand likes, is part of the president's arms agenda.

Bolsonaro also took the opportunity to republish a video in which he participated in an interview for the Irmãos Dias podcast. During the conversation, he criticizes Lula's speech about middle class spending in the country.

On Tiktok, Bolsonaro shared a speech with criticism of governors of the Northeast who went to court against the reduction of the ICMS rate on fuels. “A little while ago they blamed me for the increase, when it drops, many remain silent,” he said.

Ciro Gomes (PDT)

On Tiktok, the pedetista published a video titled “It's the naked truth”, in which he presents himself as a viable alternative to polarization between Lula and Bolsonaro. Criticism of the PT member was more severe than that directed at Bolsonaro. “Lula kissed the cross, prostrated himself, corrupted himself”, he comments.

Both Lula and Ciro share the same electorate. However, a Genial/Quaest research revealed that a good number of PED voters are considering voting for the PT pre-candidate to end the elections in the first round.

Ciro's other posts were just promoting artists who support his pre-candidacy.

Simone Tebet (MBD)

With just 1% of voting intentions and within the group of pre-candidates' names unknown to a large part of the population, Simone Tebet seems not to be worried about this. While his opponents frequently use social media to speak to voters, Tebet barely publishes.

Your last post was about the investigations into harassment reports against the former president of Caixa Econômica Federal, Pedro Guimarães.
