From 'congratulations' to the end of poverty: check out what became a topic on the presidential candidates' networks

With just over 60 days to go before the elections, check out how the main presidential candidates took to social media this Monday (1). Congratulations to Ney Matogrosso prometo eradicate poverty.

Ciro Gomes (PDT)

Champion of America for the eighth time, the Brazilian women's football team received congratulations from the pedestrian on social media. “It is our girls who, once again, put Brazil’s name on high,” he said.

Still in a festive mood, Ciro made a publication to celebrate singer Ney Matogrosso's 81st birthday. “May your art and sensitivity continue to inspire us to change the country,” he wrote.

Keeping an eye on what was moving the networks over the weekend, Ciro took a stance on the racist attacks that the children of actors Giovanna Ewbank and Bruno Gagliasso suffered in Portugal. “Giovanna’s courage represents the Brazilian people, mixed-race, affirmative and libertarian,” he said.

Jair Bolsonaro (PL)

In a video, Bolsonaro makes a compilation of speeches about the management of Petrobras. In one of the excerpts, he comments that between 2002 and 2015, during the PT government, the state-owned company acquired a debt of R$900 billion. “The diversion at Petrobras would be enough to cross the São Francisco River 60 times,” he said.

Bolsonaro mentions that due to the supposed absence of corruption in his mandate, his life is at risk. “You begin to understand how much my life is worth to get back to what it was before,” he said.

Squid (PT)

In a publication about recycling materials, Lula informed that he wants to discuss the need to implement cooperatives for collectors, so that they have clothes and material to work with.

The former president also shared an excerpt from a video recorded in Fortaleza last Saturday, in which he spoke about the scenario of this year's elections. “This election is democracy against fascism,” he said.

Simone Tebet (MDB)

During the meeting with businesspeople organized by Fiesp, the senator mentioned that her first mission, if she wins the elections, is to eradicate misery and reduce poverty.

Regarding his government's commitment to environmental preservation, Tebet published that Brazil can show that the economy is sustainable. “Last year, we were responsible for deforesting 40% of the world’s primary forests,” he commented.
