The vaccine controversy continues

The saga of vaccination against Covid-19 continues circling the athlete. The US Open does not require vaccination of its participants, but the United States government does not authorize the entry of unvaccinated foreigners.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the tennis player has been against vaccination and claims not to have received the vaccine.

The losses of Djokovic, former world number 1

In January of this year, Novak Djokovic was deported from Australia precisely for not having been vaccinated – this meant that the athlete was unable to participate in the Australian Open. Months later, during Roland Garros, he was eliminated by Rafael Nadal in the quarterfinals. The Spaniard came out on top in the tournament and became the record holder for Grand Slam titles, with 22 victories – surpassing Djoko, with 21.
