Donald Trump and his children are sued for fraud

The Attorney General of the State of New York, Letitia James, announced this Wednesday (21) civil actions against former American President Donald Trump and three of his children, after investigating the tax practices of the family's business group, the Trump Organization.

“We are taking legal action against Donald Trump for violating the law (…) in order to generate profit for him, his family and his business”, declared the prosecutor at a press conference.

Letitia James also said she will demand $250 million in damages on behalf of the state of New York, as well as corporate bans for Donald Trump and his children Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka and Eric.

The civil investigation against the Trump Organization was opened after the congressional testimony of Michael Cohen, Donald Trump's former personal lawyer.
