Luisa Stefani and Rafael Matos are Australian Open mixed doubles champions. On Thursday night (26), Friday morning (27) in Melbourne, the Brazilians beat the Indians Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna by 2 sets to 0, with partials of 7/6 (7/2) and 6/2 , at 1h27. 🇧🇷

Facing experienced rivals, Luisa and Matos were persistent to overcome the anxiety of their first career Grand Slam final and return Brazil to the top after just over two years.

The last time the Brazilian flag was on the highest place on the podium of one of the 4 main tennis tournaments was in 2020, with Bruno Soares, in the US Open men's doubles. It is the first time that an entirely Brazilian pair has become champion in the doubles bracket of a Grand Slam.
