Former Flamengo player Pablo Marí is out of danger after successful surgery

Spanish player Pablo Marí, who was champion with Flamengo and is now at Monza in Italy, underwent successful surgery this Friday (28) and is out of danger. He was stabbed in an attack last Thursday (27) in a shopping mall near Milan. Four other victims were stabbed. One died.

Defender Pablo Marí was hospitalized on Thursday night (27), conscious and able to speak, even after being stabbed by a man during an attack in a supermarket. He underwent surgery and is out of danger.

“After the difficult time we went through yesterday (Thursday), both my family and I want to communicate that, fortunately, we are all fine, despite the circumstances,” Marí wrote on Instagram, where he posted the photo alongside his wife Verônica Chacón.

According to the first elements of the investigation, the perpetrator of the attack – a 46-year-old man who was undergoing treatment for depression – took a knife from a sales shelf and, with it, attacked people in his path.

Player Pablo Marí sent “condolences and all our strength to the family and friends of the deceased”. According to Italian newspapers, the fatal victim of this attack was a Carrefour employee.

The attack was only worse thanks to the intervention of Massimo Tarantino, a former Napoli and Inter Milan player who managed to contain and disarm the attacker. “
