Fuvest: registrations open for the 2023 entrance exam

The test guarantees a place in one of the most competitive universities in the country, USP.

Registration costs R$191, but requires a fee exemption. The call period for the second phase begins on December 16th and the test takes place on January 8th and 9th of next year, with the results coming out on the 30th.

The period of Registration starts this Monday (15) – click here to register – and it runs until September 23rd, 12pm. The test will take place on December 4th.

To take the entrance exam, the candidate must have read works that appear on a list. This year, the list includes Poebut Chosen (Gregório de Matos), Quincas Borba (Machado de Assis), Some Poesia (Carlos Drummond de Andrade), among others.

This year's entrance exam presents thesome changes. The commission that verifies the self-declaration of black, brown and indigenous people, avoiding quota fraud, underwent one of these changes. In addition, candidates will have to prove that they have taken the vaccine against Covid-19, including a booster dose.

This year, candidates will first have to compete in the Broad Competition modality. There will also be vacancies for people who completed high school entirely at a public school, regardless of income. 

For the assistant dean of undergraduate studies at USP, Marcus Garcia Neira, the objective of these measures is to expand the possibilities of admission to the university and correct any distortions, improving affirmation policies.
