Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady divorce after 13 years of marriage

After much speculation, Gisele Bündchen confirmed the end of her marriage to Tom Brady. They had been together for 13 years. "The decision to end a marriage is never easy, but we have grown apart and although it is difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we have had together and I wish Tom the best always," the model wrote in an Instagram post .

According to AFP, the American Football League (NFL) star and the Brazilian supermodel filed for divorce this Friday (28), in Florida. Rumors of a separation multiplied after the announcement of Brady's return to competition after his retirement in February. This would have caused tensions in the couple.

“With great gratitude for our time together, Tom and I have amicably finalized our divorce. My priority has always been and will continue to be our children, who I love with all my heart. We will continue to take care of them with the love, care and attention they deserve”, says the note published by Gisele in Instagram stories. The model ends by asking that the family's privacy be “respected during this sensitive period”.

The same statement was published on Tom Brady's profile on the social network.
