Cavill was informed that he is out of the company's projects during a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran.

Whether you are a fan or not, the web did not react well to the news, which generated outrage and sadness. The reason? The actor had left the series “The Witcher” to dedicate himself and fulfill Superman's agenda.

Despite not caring much about the Superman films, “I feel sorry for Henry Cavill.”, wrote one internet user.

In his farewell note to Superman, the actor spoke about the studio's change of plans. “After the studio informed me, in October, that I would return [to the character], before the two were hired, it’s not very easy to break this news, but that’s life,” he wrote.

Apparently DC wants to start everything from scratch in theaters and that includes hiring new actors.

This Thursday (15), Cavill's name was among the most talked about topics on Twitter.
