The Town Card tickets sell out in a few hours and criticism is pouring in on social media

The Town - music festival from the same creators as Rock in Rio - released The Town Card ticket sales on Tuesday night (14). On the one hand, many people celebrated buying tickets for the long-awaited festival; on the other, the internet was full of criticism of the website and organization of the event - mainly in relation to the virtual queue. 👀

The Town Card is equivalent to a lawn ticket, with no pre-defined date and is valid for one day of the event. To guarantee the benefit of The Town Card, fans must choose the day they want to go to the festival from March 21st to April 17th, the date before general sales open.

In just over three hours, the Ticketmaster platform sold all available The Town Cards. According to data released by the The Town, around 438 people were ready to buy their tickets by the time they sold out.

“Based on Rock World’s sales history, each person buys an average of 1.8 tickets. This means that The Town could have sold 788 thousand tickets this Tuesday alone, that is, one and a half festivals”, says the note released late on Tuesday night.

Despite the large number of tickets sold, there were reports of people who were unable to secure entry to enjoy their favorite artists at the music festival. Going through social media, the main complaints involved the sales website, the virtual queue and the company's lack of transparency.
