Jeremy Renner posts photo in hospital after snowplow accident

Jeremy Renner, known for playing Hawkeye in several Marvel blockbusters, published a photo taken in the hospital after suffering an accident. The actor suffered serious injuries on Sunday morning near his home in the state of Nevada when he tried to turn off an unmanned snow plow that had been used to help free a family member's car, buried in a blizzard.

Renner published a selfie on Instagram in which he appears in the hospital bed with bruises on his face. “Thank you everyone for the kind words. I'm too confused right now to type. But I send love to you all,” she wrote.

The publicist of Winner, Sam Mast, said the actor underwent surgery and is “awake and progressing positively, talking and in good spirits. He remains in the ICU in critical but stable condition".

Local authorities indicated, in a press conference on Tuesday (3), that there was no evidence that the “tragic accident” was involved with alcohol or drugs. According to Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam, an investigation was opened due to the “serious injuries” suffered by Renner, including inspections looking for signs of mechanical failure in the vehicle.

The actor used a PistenBully, or 'snowcat', a truck-sized track-drawn vehicle designed to remove snow.
