Piaget jewelry store in Paris is robbed worth more than 10 million euros

The Piaget jewelry store, located on Rue de la Paix, in the heart of Paris, was robbed this Tuesday (01) during lunch hour by three people, who got away with a theft estimated at between 10 and 15 million euros (between US $11 and 16,5 million and R$52 and 78 million).

Rue de la Paix and Place Vendôme are world-renowned for being home to the most prestigious luxury watch and jewelry brands.

A police source reported that no one was injured during the robbery.

The Paris prosecutor's office has referred an investigation into armed robbery in an organized gang and kidnapping in an organized gang to the judicial police, the prosecutor said.

According to the first elements of the investigation, the robbery carried out by three people occurred around 13 pm local time (8 am Brasília time) and at least one of the criminals was armed.
