On this first day of the trial, the player spent almost two hours in the courtroom, where he sat in the front row of a defendant's dock. The night before, Neymar participated in PSG's match against Marseille and the star scored the winning goal. This was a reason for little rest, which made the defense ask for Neymar and his parents to leave early and the court authorized it.

Even though he was allowed to leave, Neymar's father remained with the other defendants, only the player and his mother left the court.
But what is happening?

According to the schedule, Neymar and the other defendants will give their statements this Friday (21) or Friday (28). It is not known whether the player will be present in person at the hearing.
Confusão
On Tuesday (18), the president of Real Madrid, Florentino Pérez, will give a statement at the request of the DIS group. Pérez will talk about how the secret agreement, made in 2011, between Barça and the player, influenced the market.
Barcelona announced that signing the star cost 57,1 million euros (40 million for Neymar and 17,1 for Santos). Spanish justice estimated that the operation cost at least 83 million euros.

The DIS group alleges that Barça, Neymar and later Santos allied to hide the real value of the operation through other contracts from which it was left out.
The company, which acquired 40% of the player's economic rights in 2009, received 6,8 million euros of the 17,1 million euros officially paid to the Brazilian club.
“Neymar Júnior, with the connivance of his parents and FC Barcelona, and its directors at the time, and Santos FC (…) defrauded the legitimate economic interests of DIS”, stated Paulo Nasser, the company's lawyer, who denounces that the rights of the player “were not sold to the highest bidder”.

Resolution
The DIS group asks for the refund of the 35 million euros it estimates it lost and five years in prison for the player, Rosell and Bartomeu, in addition to millionaire fines.
Defender
For Neymar's lawyers, the player did not commit any crime, as the 40 million euros corresponded to a “legal and customary signing bonus in the football market”, and questionam whether Spain has the legal jurisdiction in the case.
