Lilo, Lilo Crocodile hits theaters today

Hector P. Valenti, played by Javier Bardem, wants to become a star in New York, but things don't go the way he imagined. He is ridiculed and misunderstood. His desire to become famous gains new possibilities when he meets Lilo, played by Shawn Mendes, a crocodile who knows how to sing and dance. Could this be the key to success?

This is the story of Lilo, Lilo, Crocodile, a film that hits theaters this Thursday (27). It is directed by filmmakers Will Speck and Josh Gordon (from The Last Hangover of the Year).

The film takes up a recipe left aside recently:

  • Simple
  • Funny
  • Unassuming
  • Works for the whole family
  • Afternoon Session style
Double

The film is different, especially for the filmmaker duo, who generally make extravagant comedy films, with double-meaning jokes with a very acidic content and a sense of nonsense. Their films are The Last Hangover of the Year, Coincidences of Love e Sliding to Glory

Something changed…

“We're very cynical and that tends to come across in the films we've made,” explains Gordon in an interview with Collider. “However, we are also very heart and therefore we are always looking for this combination in our work. I think with this film, specifically, it's been interesting because now we're getting a little more into the heart department. This production was certainly a good process.”
