Lollapalooza 2023 sets Twenty One Pilots as attraction after Blink-182 cancels show

The band Blink-182, one of the most anticipated for the 2023 edition of Lollapalooza, canceled its participation in the event. The festival announced the cancellation this Wednesday (1st). The reason was a surgery that drummer Travis Baker underwent. The Twenty One group Pilots will replace the nostalgic band.

Ah, the festival made it very clear in the statement that the pop punk band is confirmed as an attraction next year. This would be the first big show of the Blink-182 – in fact, this year’s presentation day was the first to sell out.

Blink-182 is the band responsible for hit songs like “All the Small Things”, “I Miss You”, “Adam's Song” and “What's My Age Again?”. The show would feature the band's original lineup, which is made up of Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker and Tom DeLonge. Furthermore, it would be a celebration of the group's 30th anniversary.

Replacement

The pair Twenty One Pilots, which will replace Blink-182, has already played on Lollapalooza on two occasions, in the 2016 and 2019 editions. Oh, they came to Brazil last year, at the festival GPWeek with The Killers.
