Lula announces Alckmin, Nísia Trindade, Wellington Dias and 13 other future ministers; see list

President-elect Lula (PT) announced, this Thursday (22), the names of another 16 ministers of the future government. Before, Lula had already announced 6 names. Check the list with Curto!

The announcement took place at the Banco do Brasil Cultural Center (CCBB), in Brasília. Before the president-elect spoke, the transition team groups presented the conclusions of their work.

Squid thanked the Senate and the Chamber for approving the Transition PEC, which allows the payment of R$600 reais from Bolsa Família (currently Auxílio Brasil) in 2023.

“I wanted to start today by saying thank you. […] Thanking the president of the Senate, the president of the Chamber, the leaders of the political parties, the leader of the government, the senators, the leader in the Senate, for the approval of the PEC yesterday. I think this is the first time that a president […] starts to govern before taking office”, declared Lula.

  • Women: Cida Gonçalves.
  • Social development: Wellington Dias.
  • Culture: Margareth Menezes.
  • Job: Luiz Marinho.
  • Racial equality: Anielle Franco.
  • Human rights: Silvio Almeida.
  • Industry and Commerce: Geraldo Alckmin.
  • Comptroller General of the Union: Vinícius Carvalho.
